"Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord."
Romans 12:11
Romans 12:11
"Not slowthful in business but fervent in spirit" (Romns 12:11, KJV). This verse is underlined in my Bible. I detest the thought that someone might think of me as lazy, but I value the thought that someone might consider me hardworking and ambitious. I have found that I am not the only that has a perfectionist (although I prefer not to use this term) personality that uses this verse to excuse their over busy lifestyle. However, is that what this Scripture is really saying? Is it giving us freedom to over schedule our lives? I would venture to say that it isn't.
