As you may have noticed I haven't posted anything recently under this tab. I'm sad to say that this past week was a little rocky, however, I am excited to say that I have not lost the war. Haha. I've learned that is what is can be within your mind. A battle between the half that desires to be healthy and do what's right, and the other half that just wants to sit and eat bonbons. I've also learned that with time the part of your mind that is striving to do what's right can become stronger.
My reason (or excuse) has been that I have somehow hurt my back. Then of course Fourth of July was over the course of the whole weekend. How many people eat healthy over the holidays? I did good until the red, white, and blue potato salad came out. It must be the Irish in me, but I am a girl who loves potatoes every way.
Here's something else I've learned. We need to let ourselves indulge once in a while. If we deny ourselves all of our guilty pleasures, we have a tendency to beat ourselves up even more when we fall off the horse. It can also cause to not even want to try to get back on for fear of failure. This doesn't just apply to health & fitness. It can apply to so many area of our lives. I said it in a previous post. Take it one day at a time. Today I am back to eating the right way and finding a workout to strengthen the muscles in my back so I can get back to jogging

These three oils work wonders before and after I do my workout. I'm going to be adding Deep Relief soon to help with deep muscle aches. I feel so much better about using natural oils than I would using ibuprophen a few times a day.
So here's to giving yourself some grace and getting back in the saddle. It's all about not giving up before you're given it your all, and even then, try again. If we were talking to our kids, what would we say. Hopefully, we would tell them that we believe in them, but they needed to have faith in their abilities too. Never let yourself or someone else tell you that you can't
