Happy 4th of July everyone. Now matter what political views you may hold, today is a day that we can be thankful that we live in a country that we have the freedom to vote, to worship and celebrate.
We are all so full we can hardly move. (Especially since I've cut back on all the goodies lately) It was red, white and blue; even down to the ice cubes and potato salad.
I found this idea on Pinterest this week and altered it by using the star shape ice molds, and served with Sprite. The kids really loved this.
I used red, white and purple potatoes to make potato salad. (Purple was the closest that I could get to blue).
This should explain why we are all so full. Feeding seven people on a regular basis is not an easy task. |
My two favorite men. I love doing things as a family
and getting to take all these pictures,
even if they aren't professional.

I seem to be forgetting something. Oh yes. Of course. The fireworks. For the last couple of years it has been our tradition to do our own fireworks with our neighbors across the street since they have four kids just like we do. (So much easier than driving downtown and trying to find a parking spot and keeping an eye on your kids with the plethora of people)
It is no easy feat getting a picture of this 14 year old. She is my mini me.
I still can't believe how fast my kids are growing.
Love seeing my kids smile
From our family to yours we hope you enjoyed time with your family celebrating America's birthday.
