At the beginning of the kids summer vacation we made our Summer Bucket List for this year. We've been making our way through it, checking things off one by one. I think this last activity was my personal favorite so far. It was something I wanted to do last year with the kids, but it ended up being one of the unfinished items on the list. Bound and determined, we made our bleach pen t-shirts. Even my seven year old had fun with this activity.
So here we are all ready to make our shirts. Every one is smiling so it's a good start.
Mercy went first and did a great job. I apparently wasn't thinking about how much decorating they were going to want to put on their t-shirts so I believe it was after Serenity that I ended up going back to the store to get more bleach pens.
This was Serenity's. I love how she and Mercy posed with their t-shirts.
This is Zeke's shirt. He also made a second one which I did not get a picture of. My oldest (as I have said before) is going through a stage which she refuses to have her picture taken. Her t-shirt turned out to be REALLY good. I'll try and sneak a picture of it when she's not looking.
Well after the kids were done with their t-shirts, both front and back, and they were washed and the mess was cleaned up I thought I would take a crack at it. It was actually quite relaxing to six by myself and just enjoy the moment. Here's how my shirt turned out.

This is the back.
and here is the front.
