Well we are back at home, back to work and back to chores. School is less than three weeks away for both the kids and I and there is SO much to do. As much as I'm excited to start this portion of school I am nervous at the same time.
So here's the dilema I have every year as summer is coming to an end. Do I let my kids continue to sleep in or do I slowly get them back into routine because let's face it; who doesn't enjoy the moments of peace and quiet while they are still asleep in the morning. What do you do? My kids would love to be homeschooled, but they are under the misconception that that would allow them to sleep until whenever they wanted. I tried it once while I was also going to school. Homeschooling your children is definitely not for the faint of heart. (At least not for those who put their heart and soul into it)
So it's time to buy those school supplies and when I look at the list my eyes grow bigger and bigger; backpacks, lunch boxes, paper, crayons, pens, folders, markers, tape, hand sanitizer, and the list goes on.
There are still some important things we would like to check off of our Summer Bucket list for this summer. This is the first one that we've made that we've really worked on and I think we've done a pretty good job so far. It's definitely been a busy summer to say the least. How about you and your families? Do you have a list of fun things you wanted to do this summer?
I'm challenging myself to make the last three weeks of summer vacation just as enjoyable as the rest of summer has been. It's so easy to get into the back to school mode that the fun just dissipates. Tomorrow is another opportunity to make amazing memories.
A good friend of mine just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl just a few hours ago and it reminded me of how quickly they grow up. Even though our family has returned home and we have our daily responsibilities we should take every moment we have to make it a memory. Yes you can even make cleaning the house fun. How are you going to make memories with your family tomorrow?

I saw this the other day and realized how true it is.
